Despite a furious second-half rally, the UCSB men's basketball team fell just short to Utah State 61-59 in the Thunderdome Monday. Chris Devine and James Powell led the Gauchos with 14 points apiece, while Jesse Byrd led the Gauchos with 5 rebounds and adding 8 points. Freshman Will Brew, Jr. led with 5 assists, while adding 3 steals and 2 points.
